Repost from Sydney's Fashion Diary - Personal Style by Sydney
Spring is slowly getting here and I couldn't be more excited. I have so many new pieces sitting in my closet waiting for the warmer weather. One of them is this denim trench. It was 70 degrees yesterday so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take it out for a spin. It's no secret that I love outerwear and am happy to own one of the chicest trends this spring. Being petite, an off the rack coat in standard sizes has the wrong proportions for me most of the time. It's not easy to find one that isn't far too long. This denim trench felt like a godsend. I knew I would not need many layers in spring so I went with a size XXS and it fit surprisingly well. Here are the measurements of a size XXS: 14.5" across the shoulders, 35" overall length and 21" sleeve length. The trench is made out of very thick (somewhat stiff) denim material. Due to the thickness of the fabric, I couldn't get all of the folds out using my small iron at home. I had to take it to a dry cleaner for a quick steam. It came back looking fresh and perfect. I love that this trench has all of the classic trench coat details (split pockets at hip, removable self belt at waist and button-tab cuffs). Yet it feels modern and chic at the same time. This is my second piece of outwear from Petite Studio NYC and it hasn't been disappointed (read my first review here). If you're looking for something a little different than the typical classic trench coat to spice up your spring wardrobe, I highly suggest you give this denim trench a look.
