Coats and outerwear have long been a struggle for petites. We tend to be swallowed up in the longer arm lengths and hems. Our winter collections was developed through trial and error using many different real petites for fitting. In this fit report, we used several fabulous petite models of different height, size and shape to explore the fit of the coats from our new winter collection.

“The Aspen Coat fit just right for someone as petite as me. It was my favorite! It definitely allows room for more layers as well. I find that most coats are either too large or too tight for layering. I was obsessed and didn't want to take it off!”

“I always find when looking for a trench style coat, I can never find one that falls on the proper spot on my waist! The tie/waistline is usually too low and doesn't give my petite frame any shape. I loved the way this one provided room for warm sweaters/winter clothing, while still showing off my figure.”
“The Aspen coat is the best slim fit coat I’ve tried on yet. They typically look oversized on me, which ends up looking kind of awkward. I also love how the waist tie helps bring in the waist and that it actually hits below the knee rather than my ankles.”

Valentina Coat
“I felt so pretty in the Valentina Coat. I don’t own colored coats because they can be tricky, but I love how it’s a bit more subdued. Great for someone who is starting to add more color to their wardrobe!”

Nora Coat in Camel
“I love how chic and practical the Nora Coat is. The camel accents give a little something extra to a normal black coat. Also, can we talk about the arm length? I’ve never had a coat’s arms not go past my fingertips!”

“I feel like this one is perfect for someone who likes a practical coat that they can through over any outfit. It’s easy to dress up or down and even though it’s an oversized cut, the tailoring is right on point. I don’t feel completely drowned in it, which is rare.”
